# Tracing.start() method

Starts a trace for the current page.

#### Signature:

```typescript
class Tracing {
  start(options?: TracingOptions): Promise<void>;
}
```

## Parameters

**Returns:**

## Remarks

Only one trace can be active at a time per browser.
