# WaitForOptions.timeout property

Maximum wait time in milliseconds. Pass 0 to disable the timeout.
|

The default value can be changed by using the [Page.setDefaultTimeout()](./puppeteer.page.setdefaulttimeout.md) or [Page.setDefaultNavigationTimeout()](./puppeteer.page.setdefaultnavigationtimeout.md) methods.
